At The Cedar Sheds, we’re committed to delivering your outdoor storage safely and free of charge. Please read this policy so you know what to expect from the moment you order to the moment your order arrives.

Shipping Cost

  • Free shipping on every order, with no minimum spend.
  • All products (wooden, resin, and metal sheds and storage cabinets) ship free to any address in the contiguous United States (lower 48 states).
  • We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or international addresses.

Ships From

  • All orders ship from warehouses within the United States.

Order Processing (Handling) Time

  • Handling time: 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays).
  • During this time, we verify your payment and prepare your order for dispatch.
  • Orders placed on weekends or federal holidays begin processing the next business day.
  • You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.

Transit and Delivery Time

  • Transit time: 7–8 business days after dispatch.
  • Estimated total delivery time: 8–10 business days from the order date.
  • Delivery is curbside: the carrier brings your order to the nearest accessible point at your address. Liftgate service is included for freight shipments where needed.

Carriers We Use

Sheds are large and heavy and often ship in several oversized boxes, so we use parcel and freight carriers depending on product size and weight.

  • UPS Ground: smaller shed kits, cabinets, and medium-weight boxes. Real-time tracking.
  • FedEx Ground / Home Delivery: wooden sheds, shed panels, and medium-sized boxes. Real-time tracking.
  • XPO Logistics (LTL freight): large metal sheds, oversized resin panels, and palletized kits, with curbside liftgate delivery. Tracking through the XPO portal.
  • Estes Express Lines (LTL freight): multi-box large shed kits, with residential delivery. Tracking through the Estes portal.
  • R+L Carriers (LTL freight): heavy resin shed kits and oversized panel sets, with residential liftgate delivery. Tracking through the R+L portal.
  • USPS Parcel Select: small parts and replacement hardware. USPS tracking.

How Your Order Is Shipped

  • Smaller and lighter items ship by UPS Ground or FedEx Ground / Home Delivery.
  • Large and heavy sheds ship by LTL freight (XPO, Estes, or R+L) with curbside liftgate delivery.
  • For freight deliveries, the carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment. Please make sure the phone number on your order is correct.
  • The carrier depends on your location and your product’s size and weight. Your shipping confirmation email will name the carrier and include your tracking details.

Multi-Package Shipments

  • Many sheds ship in 2–6 separate boxes because of large panels, roofing kits, and hardware packages.
  • Boxes from the same order may arrive on different days. Please don’t start assembly until everything has arrived.
  • Your tracking email will list every tracking number for multi-box orders.

Delivery Inspection (Important)

  • Inspect all packages at delivery, before the driver leaves.
  • If any box is damaged, crushed, or open, note it on the carrier’s delivery receipt and take photos right away.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery to support@thecedarsheds.shop or +1 (631) 315-2567. We’ll arrange a free replacement or a full refund.
  • Not noting damage at delivery may affect the claim with the carrier, but please still contact us.

Order Tracking

  • Your tracking number is emailed as soon as your order ships.
  • You can also track your order anytime at thecedarsheds.shop/order-tracking/
  • For freight orders, the carrier’s tracking link is included in your shipping confirmation email.

Delays

  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can happen because of weather, carrier disruptions, or high seasonal demand.
  • If we learn of a significant delay to your order, we’ll let you know.
  • The Cedar Sheds is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or events beyond our reasonable control.
